The Last of the Mohicans - Chapter 3: Magua´s Plans.

Gamut came out of the cave, holding his aching head. Then Heyward took some branches and put them one on top of the other to hide the passage that joined the larger and smaller parts on the cave. Taking Hawk-eye´s gun and his last few bullets in his hand, he turned with a grim face to watch the narrow cave entrance. Then the Hurons were at the entrance of the cave. Heyward, Gamut and the two Munro sisters kept silent and joped that the Hurons wouldn´t discover their secret hiding place behind the branches. Then Magua appears theres was a shot and all the Hurons came again in to the cave. Heyward, Gamut and the ladies were marched to the river bank where there is a canoe. They got out on the other bank. Soon the Huron chief arrived on Heyward´s horse, followed by th rest od the Hurons and the other horses. After that they were figthing with the Hurons. Magua threw his tomahawk angrily at the three just beyond Cora stood, ad the Indian at his side pulled out his knife. But before he could use it on Cora, Heyward ran between them and wrestled him to the ground. The suddenly there was a rifle shot, and the Huron fell dead at Heyward´s side.
